This rich purple glass suncatcher is embossed with the powerful monogram of the Holy Name of Jesus, as seen in the reverse of medals of the Holy Face. Around the image are the words: Mane Nobiscum Domine –
“Stay with us, Lord, for it is almost evening” (Lk 24:29) and the abbreviation: A.M.D.G. – Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam : To the greater glory of God.
This suncatcher was custom made by Old Hancock Glassworks, in a historic Glassmaking region of southern New Hampshire, using centuries old techniques giving each piece an odd character not found in machine work. Each these unique colonial artworks, the size of the bottom of a bottle, is individually made and hand stamped.
Approximately 3 inch diameter. Colors slightly vary, as they are made from recycled glass.
Guaranteed not to fade in the sun.
Made exclusively for Saint Benedict Center.
I bought five to give as gifts. Was disappointed that they did not arrive with cord for hanging, but was able to use something on hand.
