Product Description

The Imitation of Christ by Thomas a Kempis has been the most popular book, second only to Sacred Scripture, for the last five centuries. It presents the fundamental principles of the spiritual life. The Christian soul is invited to follow Christ Who is the Way, the Truth and the Life. As we study its contents we are convinced that without the Way there is no going, without the Truth there is no knowing, without the Life there is no real living.

Nice size to take with you

When I was a child, the doctor my mother worked for gave me a copy of this book. It was a different edition. Now in my older years, I can remember the doctor as I read Thomas A Kempis again. It is small enough to put into one's purse or one's pocket. I took it with me to the doctor's office and finished a complete reading while waiting. His words stick with you, and they are both enlightening and uplifting.

    Small Volume -- Big Messages

Posted by Margaret L. on Feb 14th 2018

I like to carry this small volume in my purse when I have an appointment rather than scrounge around to find a magazine. Most recently, at the dr.'s office, I read Chapter 30 in its entirety while waiting, and the message that God sends both the good things that happen to us but also the "adversities" that happen to us... And instead of seeking comforts and delighting in "outward things," we should first and quickly turn to Him. "Wait for Me, wait, I will come and cure thee." Most comforting, but also encouraging us to quickly turn to Him, right off... This little book measures 3.5" x 5 3/8" and tucks right into my bag, next to my wallet. I do recommend.
